Summer Art Workshops 2011 Information

   Art Around the World will include Japanese blockprinting, Chinese brush painting , the textures and patterns of African animals and more. Five 3-hour classes are $75 for the week.

   Back this year is Art with the Masters. The 3 hour per day class is $75 for the week. This includes tempera paint and boards. Students are encouraged to bring their own oil or acrylic paint set if they wish For an additional $20 students may use the studio’s available oil or acrylic paints. We plan to study and paint in the style of Pablo Picasso, Georgia O’Keeffe, Paul Cezanne, Vincent van Gogh and Stewart Davis.

   Drawing & Painting I focuses on a fun approach to the basics of art; color, design, perspective and composition. Forms from nature, still life, landscape, animals and portraiture will be explored through colored pencil, pastel, tempera and techniques. Drawing and Painting II extends these principles through watercolor. Most materials are provided. Students are asked to bring an 11” x 14”(or so) drawing pad. I will have some available at $8.00 each.

   The cost for Drawing and Painting I is $70.00 for 10 lessons. Drawing and Painting II is $80.00/10 lessons. A $10.00 deposit will hold your spot.
